ETSM (ORACLE_ETSM)
Instance level tablespace history ON/OFF options
When ETSM history option is OFF (default)
The ETSM application performs the following actions irrespective of threshold ranges. All of the container application class parameters are available.
When a tablespace exception occurs:
- An ETSM_TBSP_<TableType>INSTANCE application class is created for the specific tablespace instance with all of the parameters in the following table.
- An ETSM application class only collects data for a specific tablespace instance when the threshold specified in the ETSM container level is reached.
When ETSM history option is ON
Tablespace history is monitored as follows:
- An ETSM_TBSP_<TableType>INSTANCE application classes and parameters are created for all tablespaces.
- An ETSM application class collects historic data for all tablespaces.
The following table lists a description of the parameters provided by the ETSM_ tablespace type container application class when the history option is OFF.
ETSM_tablespace type container application parameters
The following table lists a description of the parameters provided by the ETSM_TBSP_INSTANCE application class when the history option is ON, or an exception occurs.

Oracle level global tablespace history ON/OFF options
You can set the ETSM history using the ETSM-Global-Configuration application class.
You must have the ORACLE_ETSM.kml file loaded for the ETSM applications to appear.
When you also load the ORACLE_AUTO_CONFIG.kml file, you can define the tablespace types for the ETSM applications in the default_auto_config.txt file. If you do not have ORACLE_AUTO_CONFIG.kml loaded or not defined the tablespace types in the default_auto_config.txt file, the undefined tablespaces are placed in the ETSM_REGULAR application by default.
The ORACLE_ ETSM application icon is labeled ETSM.
