Oracle RAC


This topic provides information about configuring the Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) by using Central Monitoring Administration.

On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to Oracle Real Application Clusters, and the Monitor Type set to Oracle RAC, provide the following details:

RAC Database Monitoring Configuration

RAC DB Information

RAC database name

Specify the RAC database name.

RAC database home

Specify the RAC database home directory.

Database Monitoring Account Credentials

User Name

Specify the database monitoring user name.

Password

Specify the database monitoring password.

Note

If the database user password contains special characters, specify the password within the double quotes. Example: “%BMC$"

Confirm Password

Re-type the database monitoring password.

RAC Instance Information

RAC instance name

Specify the RAC instance name.

TNS service string

Specify the the TNS service string.

RAC instance host

Specify the RAC instance host name.

RAC Debug Option

RAC debug

Select the check box to enable the debugging of the RAC instance configuration.
