Logical Disk (NT_LOGICAL_DISKS)


Monitors and provides information about file system resources. A logical disk is a partition on a hard drive or fixed disk drive that is assigned a drive letter, such as C.

Note

The Logical Disk monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the NT_LOGICAL_DISKS application class in BMC PATROL.

The following information is displayed on the NT_LOGICAL_DISKS InfoBox:

Description

Icon type

the type of icon selected (computer, application, container, parameter)

State

the current state of the object

Application class

name of the application class

Default user name

the default PATROL user name, if any

Worst parameter

the name of the application parameter that is having the most problems, if any
If more than one parameter is in a warning or an alarm state, the parameter with the most severe problems is shown

History retention

the length of time history is retained

On Physical Disk

which physical disk the logical disk is on

File System

type of file system used on the logical disk

Disk Capacity (Kb)

disk capacity of the logical disk

Free Space (Kb)

amount of free space on the logical disk

Used Space (Kb)

amount of used space on the logical disk

NT KM version

the version of the PATROL KM for Windows OS currently in use
