Configure Hyper-V Monitoring dialog box


Use this dialog box to add, modify, and delete a Microsoft Cluster Server from your environment.

This dialog box is applicable to PATROL Console only.

To access this dialog box, right-click the Microsoft Hyper-V node and select KM Commands > Configure Hyper-V MonitoringThis dialog box contains the following items:

Description

Monitoring Mode

Select the monitoring mode.

  • Cluster
  • Standalone host

You can either monitor a clustered Hyper-V or a standalone Hyper-V host.

Hyper-V Server

Enter the Hyper-V cluster name or a standalone Hyper-V host name.

Username

Enter the user name to connect to the Hyper-V host.

Password

Enter the password.

Confirm Password

Re-enter the password for confirmation.

Authentication Type

Select the authentication type that will be used for connection:

  • Negotiate
  • Kerberos

Port

Enter the WinRM port number that will be used for communicating with the Hyper-V Server. Default port number is 5985.

Protocol

Select the type of connection protocol. By default, this value is set to HTTP.

  • HTTP
  • HTTPS

Add

Click this option for confirming the configuration information that you provided and adding the host to the list of configured hosts.

Modify

Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this option to modify the details.

Remove

Select the items added earlier and click this option to delete that item from the list of configured hosts and the clear the details provided in the earlier fields.

Apply

Click to apply the configuration.

Cancel

Click to close the dialog box.
