Configuring PATROL for Microsoft Cluster Server (menu commands)


In PATROL console, menu commands (KM commands) are options to configure the knowledge module and discover Microsoft Cluster Server components. Right-click an object to access its menu commands. The following menu is available in Microsoft Cluster Server:

Microsoft Clusters (MCS_Remote) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the Microsoft Clusters (MCS_Remote) application class. To access this menu, right-click the Microsoft Clusters node and select KM Commands.

Configure Clusters

Displays the Configure-Cluster-dialog-box

Allows you to perform the following actions:

  • Add Clusters for monitoring
  • Modify the details of a configured Cluster
  • Remove a configured Cluster to stop the monitoring

ClusterName (MCS_Remote_Cluster) application menu

The following menu commands are available in the MCS_Remote_Cluster application class. To access this menu, right-click the Cluster name node and select KM Commands.

Refresh Parameters

Updates parameter values for the application class.

Force Discovery

Forces application discovery on the selected computer.

Debug

Select On or Off to enable or disable KM debug. The log file is created at <PATROL_HOME>\mcs\log directory on the PATROL Agent server.

Configure Filter Options

Displays the Configure-Filter-Options-dialog-box

Allows you to filter roles, resources, and shares from a configured cluster.

List of Shares

Lists the resource name and the shares available for each node.

List of Nodes

Lists the names of the nodes available on the configured cluster.

List of Roles and Resources

Lists the roles, nodes, and resources available on the configured cluster.

Reconnect Cluster

Resets the remote connection for any remotely monitored cluster in the TrueSight console.
