Registry (NT_REGISTRY)
This is the top-level of the Windows Registry application classes. The Windows Registry application monitors registry quota use and allows you to monitor for updates to a specific registry value.
InfoBox
The following information is displayed on the NT_REGISTRY InfoBox:
Item | Description |
Icon type | the type of icon selected (computer, application, container, parameter) |
State | the current state of the object |
Application class | name of the application class |
Default user name | the default PATROL user name, if any |
Worst parameter | the name of the application parameter that is having the most problems, if any |
History retention | the length of time history is retained |
NT KM version | the version of the PATROL KM for Windows OS currently in use |

Configuring Registry
This topic provides information about configuring the Windows registry by using Central Monitoring Administration.
On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Profile set to System Performance or Operating System, and the Monitor Type set to Registry, provide the following details:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Registry Key | Specify the registry key that you want to monitor. For example: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sample |
Value | Specify the registry key value. |
Add to List | Click this option for confirming the configuration information that you provided. |
Modify Selection | Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this option to modify details. |
Remove from List | Select the items added earlier and click this option to delete that item from the list of configured objects and the clear the details provided in the earlier fields. |
Add | Click this option to add this monitoring configuration. This information is displayed on the Monitor Configuration page. After you click this option, you can continue to add more objects for monitoring. |
Reset | Click this option to clear off your configuration details and revert to default settings. |
Close | Click this option to exit without saving any changes. |
