Updating ESS packages for Microsoft Cluster KM
PATROL Security for Windows packages will not be installed by default for Microsoft Cluster KM 1.9.00. The packages are required for Advanced Security Level installation.
For Microsoft Windows Severs 4.8.00 with Microsoft Cluster KM 1.9.00
After extracting the Microsoft Windows Severs 4.8.00, follow the steps before installing Microsoft Cluster KM 1.9.00.
If you have PATROL Agent 9.5.00 or earlier with Advanced Security Level:
Update psxckm.ppf
- Open psxckm.ppf located at bmc_products\Index and \bmc_products\Products\psxckm
- Add %nt86ssv31 to DEPENDS option in psxckm.ppf present at bmc_products\Index and \bmc_products\Products\psxckm location

Update registry
- Logon to PATROL Agent machine
- Click Start > Run
- In the Run dialog box, type regedit and then press ENTER
- In the Registry Editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand SOFTWARE, expand BMC Software, locate PATROL Agent
- In the right pane, create a String value entry esi_lib100.
- Copy the DLL path from the esi_lib80 and paste it in the Value data field of the new registry (esi_lib100)
- In the Value data field of esi_lib100, rename bmcesi80.dll to bmcesi100.dll
For Microsoft Windows Severs 4.8.10 with Microsoft Cluster KM 1.9.10
After extracting the Microsoft Windows Severs 4.8.10, follow the steps before installing Microsoft Cluster KM 1.9.10.
If you have PATROL Agent with Advanced Security Level, update registry by using the following steps:
- Logon to PATROL Agent machine
- Click Start > Run
- In the Run dialog box, type regedit and then press ENTER
- In the Registry Editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, expand SOFTWARE, expand BMC Software, locate PATROL Agent
- In the right pane, create a String value entry esi_lib100.
- Copy the DLL path from the esi_lib80 and paste it in the Value data field of the new registry (esi_lib100)
- In the Value data field of esi_lib100, rename bmcesi80.dll to bmcesi100.dll
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
