Improved Windows Event Log monitoring

  • Enhanced performance by using XML Path (XPath)

    Added a new PCONFIG variable for filtering Windows events while subscribing it from Windows Event System. The value of this variable will be XML query.

    /PSX__P4WinSrvs/PWK__PKMforMSWinOS_config/EventLogMonitoring/<EventLogName>/EventFilterQuery

  • Support for Operational, analytic and debug event logs

    Operational, analytic and debug event logs were not discovered by default. Use the Enable-Disable Windows Event Log Monitoring menu command to discover operational, analytic and debug event logs.

Support for Microsoft Windows 2012 / R2 Server

PATROL for Microsoft Windows Servers 4.8.00 is now supported on Microsoft Windows 2012 / R2 Server x64. Hyper-V monitoring is supported on Microsoft Windows 2012 / R2.

Windows Remote Monitoring - Support for Network Interface application class

Network Interface can now be monitored remotely.

Windows Local Hyper-V Monitoring - Improved Local Hyper-V Monitoring by adding new application classes

Local Hyper-V Monitoring functionality has been improved by the addition of the following application classes and parameters. 

With the new application classes you can monitor the memory statistics of a virtual machine, measure the performance of a virtual network adapter, monitors and displays the activities of the disks attached to the IDE controller, monitor and provide statistics for virtual switch.

Microsoft Windows Active Directory KM - Support for Distributed File System Replication (DFS-R)

Microsoft Windows Active Directory KM functionality has been improved by the addition of the AD_AD_DFSR class. You can monitor SYSVOL Replication by using DFS-R.

Scaling factor option added in Perfmon Wizard

In Perfmon Wizard you can now scale down values that cannot be directly set to parameters.
Valid values: Number > 0 (zero).

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
