DNS  Domain Controller LDAP SRV Record Status (AdDnsDcLdapSrvRecordExists)

Determines if an LDAP SRV (service) record matching the host name of the domain controller is registered with the DNS server.

The KM make the following query to the default DNS server: _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.<fully qualified domain name>

This parameter issues an alarm and provides annotation if an SRV record for the domain controller is not found.

Note

The DNS Domain Controller LDAP SRV Record Status attribute in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the AdDnsDcLdapSrvRecordExists parameter in BMC PATROL.
