Message Queue Server (MQ_SERVER)
The MQ_SERVER application class monitors and manages the MSMQ service. It provides information about all queues used by the MSMQ service.
The MQ_SERVER application class monitors and manages the:
- Status of the MSMQ service
- Rate at which the MSMQ server receives messages
- Rate at which the MSMQ server sends messages
- Number of IP sessions connected to the MSMQ server
- Number of IPX sessions connected to the MSMQ server
- Number of messages managed by the MSMQ server
- Size (in KB) of all messages managed by the MSMQ server
- Roundtrip message time for messages between two MSMQ servers managed by PATROL for Message Queue
The MQ_SERVER application class allows the operator to
- Start and stop the MSMQ service
- Determine the roundtrip message time between two monitored MSMQ servers
- Schedule the roundtrip message time determination between two monitored MSMQ servers.
- Set the alarm thresholds for monitoring the total number of messages and total size of all messages managed by the service
- Enable or disable the trace function of any MSMQ application class, MQ_SERVER menu command, or MQ_SERVER application class parameter.
The MSMQ service may be running on a
- Primary Enterprise Controller (PEC)
- Primary Site Controller (PSC)
- Routing Server (RS)
To access the MQ_SERVER application class, double-click the MSMQ server name or icon.
