Service Status (ServiceStatus)

Indicates whether a service is up or down.

Note

The Service Status attribute in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the ServiceStatus parameter in BMC PATROL.

By default, when an automatic service is stopped, this parameter enters an Alarm state. However, for a particular monitored service, you can specify that the parameter enters a Warn state instead.

For more information about changing the default behavior, see Configuring-service-monitoring .
