Cluster Status (ClusterStatus)

Displays the number of nodes that are down in the cluster as a whole or on a single node.

If the KM is running on a node agent that cannot connect to the cluster and error 1722 (RPC Server is unavailable) is generated, then the KM assumes that the cluster is down and it will set the ClusterStatus parameter to -1 and go into an alarm state. If one or more nodes go down, the KM sets the ClusterStatus parameter to the number of nodes that are down, creates an annotation that contains the names of the nodes that are down, and sets the parameter into a warning state.

For more information about inside and outside CLAs, see Overview.

Note

The Cluster Status attribute in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the ClusterStatus parameter in BMC PATROL.
