Enabling and disabling network protocol monitoring


This topic provides instructions to enable and disable monitoring of a network protocol. To monitor network protocols, the SNMP service must be installed.

To activate or deactivate the monitoring of a network protocol

  1. Navigate to the NT_NETWORK_PROTOCOLS application as described in Accessing an application container.
  2. Access the KM menu commands as described in Accessing KM menu commands.
  3. Choose the KM menu command Enable-Disable Protocol Monitoring.
  4. To enable a protocol, select the protocol from the Available Protocols list, select the Include option, and then click Apply.
  5. To disable monitoring of a protocol, select the protocol from the Monitored Protocols list, select the Exclude option, and click Apply.
    The changes are applied after the PATROL Agent is reinitialized.
