Stopping the MSMQ service

You can use the Stop MSMQ Service command to stop the MSMQ service.

Before you begin

  • This command interacts with the PATROL Knowledge Module for Windows 2000. For more information, see Interacting with PATROL Knowledge Module for Windows 2000.
  • You must be connected to a machine running the PATROL Agent.
  • The MQ_SERVER application class must be displayed on the PATROL Console.

If you stop the MSMQ service using the Stop MSMQ Service command, the MqStatus parameter will go into alarm until the MSMQ service is restarted using the Start MSMQ Service command.
