Starting the MSMQ service

You can use the Start MSMQ Service command to start the MSMQ service. Use this command if the MSMQ service has been stopped by using the Stop MSMQ Service command.

Before you begin

  • This command interacts with the PATROL Knowledge Module for Windows 2000. For more information, see Interacting-with-PATROL-Knowledge-Module-for-Windows-2000.
  • You must be connected to a machine running the PATROL Agent.
  • The MQ_SERVER application class must be displayed on the PATROL Console.

To start the MSMQ Service

  1. Access the MQ_SERVER application class menu as described in Accessing KM menu commands.
  2. Choose KM Commands > Start MSMQ Service.
    • If the MSMQ service has already been started, an information box appears, which displays the current status of the MSMQ service.
    • If the MSMQ service is successfully started after a Stop MSMQ Service command has been issued, an information box appears which states that the MSMQ service is starting and that it was started successfully.
  3. Click OK to close the information box.
