PATROL KM for Microsoft Message Queue Output destination


You can write trace output to a file or an output window; however, PSL trace information can only be written to an output window.

If you write trace output to a file, the trace file remains locked until you turn off trace.

Output file locations and naming conventions

Output files are stored in the $PATROL_TEMP\prodid path and use the following naming convention:

Sample trace file output
 A trace output file contains the following parts:

  • Startline
  • Body containing the date, time, type (discovery/parameter/and so forth), name, and trace text
  • Endline

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
