SQL Server Subscribers (Subscribers)

An MSSQL_SERVER_SUBSCRIBERS (Subscribers) application is a functional application that provides specific parameters, menu commands, and InfoBox items pertaining to the subscribers that the instance represents.
Subscribers application instances appear only when the following conditions exist:

  • SQL Server you are monitoring is configured for replication.
  • Subscriber names do not contain spaces. PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server cannot handle publication and subscriber names that contain spaces. The workaround is to rename the pulications and subscribers in the SQL Server enterprise manager to names without spaces.
  • Microsoft SQL Server service has been started in the Windows Services directory. Choose Settings > Control Panel > (in Windows 2000, Administrative Tools >) Services, to start and stop the Microsoft SQL Server in the Services dialog box.
  • Monitoring is enabled for replication. You can enable replication monitoring by using the KM Admin > Setup/Configure KM > Monitoring Setup menu command from a Server application icon.

To access the Subscribers application instances, double-click the Server application icon.
