Monitoring SQL Server log shipping

PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server automatically monitors Microsoft SQL Server database enabled for log shipping.

To ensure that Microsoft SQL Server database enabled for log shipping is automatically discovered, the following requirements must be met:

  • The database in Microsoft SQL Server is configured for log shipping.
  • The same database is not excluded from monitoring in PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server.

Note

BMC PATROL only detects and monitors Microsoft SQL Server log shipping for monitored databases. For information about selecting databases for monitoring, see Starting and stopping the auto discovery and monitoring of databases.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
