Accessing an application instance


This topic provides information about how to access an application instance from the respective consoles.

Accessing an application instance in PATROL Central Operator – Windows Edition

  1. In the navigation pane, expand a managed system.
  2. Expand an application class to view the application instances.

Accessing an application instance in the PATROL Console for Microsoft Windows

Use one of the following methods to access an application instance:

In the Desktop tree tab

  1. Expand the appropriate computer class and double-click the application class that you want from the displayed list of application classes.
  2. Select the application instance.

In the work area

  1. Double-click the appropriate computer class and double-click the application class in the new window that PATROL opens.
  2. Select the application instance.

Accessing an application instance in the PATROL Console for UNIX

  1. In the work area, double-click the appropriate computer class, and then double-click the application class in the new window that PATROL opens.
  2. Select the application instance.

Accessing an application instance in PATROL Central Operator – Web Edition

  1. In the tree view area, expand a managed system. PATROL lists the top-level application classes that are running on that system.
  2. Expand the application class to view its application instances. PATROL lists application containers and application instances, depending on the architecture of the application object that you have chosen.
