Menu commands

BMC PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server menu commands allow you to perform the following tasks:

  • Define and manage BMC PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Manage your SQL Servers from BMC PATROL.
  • View reports about your SQL Servers.

The Server application class provides the majority of the BMC PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server menu commands. The following application classes provide menu commands more specific to the objects that these application classes represent:

  • Database
  • Filegroup
  • Error Log
  • Published
  • Subscribers
  • Users

When a Knowledge Module (KM) is loaded, its associated menu commands are added to the KM area of a menu. The KM area is below the horizontal line on the menu. Menu commands above the line belong to the PATROL Console.

The following figure shows a Server application icon, the BMC PATROL Console for Microsoft Windows Servers menu, and the Server application menu. Right-clicking the Server application icon opens the console menu, and KM Commands is an option available from that menu. You can access the Database, Filegroup, Published, Subscribers, and Users menus from their respective application icons.
