Using the Set Debug Mode dialog box when the SQL Server instances are not getting discovered

Enable setting of the pre-discovery and discovery debug for the SQL Server KM. This helps when the SQL Server instances are not discovered when a KM is loaded and you are asked for the pre-discovery and discovery.
 In the Set Debug Mode dialog box, do the following:

  1. If you want to debug prediscovery, select Yes in the Debug Pre-discovery field.
  2. If you want to debug discovery, click Yes in the Debug Discovery field.
  3. Click Accept.
  4. Choose Done

 

 

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
