Using the Set Debug Mode dialog box

Warning

Note

Steps 1 and 2 are only available if you selected Debug from a Server application instance. If you selected Debug from a Database or User application instance, start with step 3.
If you select a consumer parameter for debug, the output contains only information about the recovery actions for that parameter. If you want information about the collection of the data, you must select the parameter that sets the values for the consumer parameter. For more information about parameters, see Parameter-types.

In the Set Debug Mode dialog box, do the following:

  1. If you want to debug prediscovery, click Yes in the Debug Pre-discovery field.
  2. If you want to debug discovery, click Yes in the Debug Discovery field.
  3. If you want to debug all of the menu commands, click Yes in the Debug Menu Commands field. (You cannot select individual menu commands; debug is on or off globally for all.)
  4. If you want to debug one or more parameters, select (highlight) the parameters you want to debug in the SelectParameters to Debug list box.
  5. Click Accept.
  6. Choose Done.

PATROL creates a popup window and a task output icon that contains the debug information. The task output icon displays in the PATROLMAINMAP window.
