Using the Object Space Monitor dialog box
The Object Space Monitor dialog box enables you to search for and enable up to ten objects for monitoring per database and to disable the monitoring of previously selected objects. Use the following tasks:
To enable monitoring of selected objects
This task describes how to enable monitoring of up to 10 objects (tables or indexes) for each database.
- Click Search.
- Indicate whether to search for an index or a table by clicking Index or Table.
- Enter an index or a table name prefix in the appropriate search text box. If you leave this field blank, all of the tables or indexes are selected. When you have a large number of tables or indexes, it is very important to use this step to limit your search.
- Click Accept. PATROL displays the discovered objects in the Search Results list box.
- Select (highlight) up to 10 objects from the Search Results list box.
- Click Add.
- Click Accept.
PATROL creates an instance for each of the objects selected and adds the selected objects to the Currently Monitored Objects list box.
To disable monitoring of selected objects
