Using the Define Chart dialog box


Selecting Create new chart or Edit existing chart in the Custom Charts Maintenance dialog box opens the Define Chart dialog box. This dialog box contains the following fields:

Description

Chart Title

A text box where you enter the title of the new chart

Chart Type

Enables you to select the way the information is presented from the following choices:

  • Area Plot
  • Line Plot
  • Bar
  • Pie
  • Stack Bar
Warning

Note

You can change this selection from within the chart display after the chart is created.

Select parameters to display in the chart …

This area of the dialog box provides a list box for each of the applications in PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server that provide parameters
select (highlight) the parameters in each of the list boxes that you want the parameter chart to display

Apply

Selecting this button:

  • Saves the selections or changes
  • Closes the Define Chart dialog box
  • Opens the new or edited chart
  • Opens a message that asks if you want to save the new or edited chart
  • Yes saves the new or edited chart
  • No deletes the new or edited chart

Cancel

Closes the Define Chart dialog box without saving the selections or changes made
