Using the Change Icon Name dialog box

The Change Icon Name dialog box enables you to change the name that is displayed under the PATROL instance icon that represents the SQL Server. It does not change the underlying name of the instance. To change the name that is displayed under the icon, see the following steps:

  1. Enter the new icon label in the text box provided.
  2. Click Accept.
    The new name is displayed under the instance icon for the selected SQL Server.

 

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
