PATROL Help for Microsoft SQL Server

The PATROL product for Microsoft SQL Server contains the knowledge that PATROL uses to monitor, analyze, and manage the Microsoft SQL Servers in your environment. PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server uses functional and container applications to provide data for objects (for example, databases) and attributes (for example, capacity) of your SQL Server. These applications provide parameters, menu commands, and InfoBoxes specific to an object or attribute that you want to monitor in your SQL Server environment:

  • Parameters are the monitoring component of PATROL. Parameters use commands to obtain data on a monitored SQL Server and parse and process that data.
  • Menu commands enable you to manage PATROL for Microsoft SQL Server, manage and monitor your SQL Servers, and view reports about your SQL Servers.
  • InfoBoxes are tables that provide specific data about your enviroronment and a monitored SQL Server, or one of its components.
