SQL Server Monitoring Debug
This topic provides information about configuring the Microsoft SQL Server by using Central Monitoring Administration.
On the Add Monitor Types dialog, with the Monitoring Solution and Monitoring Profile set to Microsoft SQL Server, and the Monitor Type set to SQL Server Monitoring Debug, provide the following details:

Monitoring Debug Options | |
SQL Server instance name (RegEx) | Specify the name of the SQL Server instance that you want to configure for monitoring. To discover all the instances enter .* in the field. Multiple configurations can be set. One for each server (or groups of servers), this field is used as a key for the configuration list. Use the Add to List, Modify Selection, and Remove from List buttons for adding, modifying, or removing configurations. |
Enable parameters debug | Select the parameters to debug. Hold Ctrl to select multiple parameters simultaneously. |
To Add, Modify, and Remove the configurations | |
Add to List | Click this option for adding the various configuration information that you provided. Click this option for adding each of the configuration details that you specified, such that you see the debug details under List - Monitoring Debug Configuration at the end of the dialog box. |
Modify Selection | Select one of the items that you added to the list in the preceding step, and click this option to modify details. |
Remove from List | Select the items added earlier and click this option to delete that item from the list of configured objects and the clear the details provided in the earlier fields. |

Enable discovery debug | Select this check box if you want to enable debug during discovery. This option can be used when the instances are not discovered correctly. |
Save log files to | Specify the path where the log files should be saved. If invalid path is specified the log will be saved at %PATROL_HOME%\mssql\logs. |
