Scalabilty and best practices


This section describes some best practices that you can use while configuring PATROL for Microsoft Exchange Servers for monitoring Exchange Servers.

The following tables provide information about the tested configuration scenarios. It also provides the information on the PATROL Agent performance and the BMCCmdLet process performance with respect to memory and CPU utilization.

On PATROL Agent startup the BMCCmdLet process memory raises
upto 2 GB and the CPU utilization goes upto 70% (For few seconds)

Warning

Note

  • All the Exchange Servers are configured with default configuration settings. All the monitor types are enabled.
  • Three Roundtrip sessions are configured on each Exchange Server.
  • Three Watch Users are configured on each Exchange Server.
