SMTP Server (MSEXCH_SMTP_Server)


The instanceNamesOfSMTPServers application class(MSEXCH_SMTP_Server)monitors instances of SMTP servers. SMTP traffic can be from SMTP servers or from POP3 or IMAP4 clients. This application class discovers successfully when the following PerfMon objects are present in the Performance database:

  • SMTP Server\Avg Retries/Msg Delivered
  • SMTP Server\Categorizer Queue Length
  • SMTP Server\Inbound Connections Current
  • SMTP Server\Local Queue Length
  • SMTP Server\Message Bytes Received/sec
  • SMTP Server\Message Bytes Sent/sec

To access an instanceNamesOfSMTPServers application class instance, open the SMTP application class.

Note

The SMTP Server monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the MSEXCH_SMTP_Server application class in BMC PATROL.
