POP3 (MSEXCH_POP3_Server)


The instanceNamesOfPOP3Servers application class(MSEXCH_POP3_Server)monitors the performance of the Exchange Server POP3 service, which Exchange uses to access Inbox data. This application class discovers successfully when the following PerfMon objects are present in the Performance database:

  • MSExchangePOP3\AUTH Failures
  • MSExchangePOP3\Connections Current
  • MSExchangePOP3\Connections Failed
  • MSExchangePOP3\PASS Failures

This application class is available only with MSEXCH_Bridgehead_Server.kml, MSEXCH_Mail_Server.kml, or MSEXCH_OWA.kml

Note

 The POP3 monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the MSEXCH_POP3_Server application class in BMC PATROL.
