Total Memory In-use by Exchange Server (ServerMemory)

The ServerMemory parameter displays the amount of memory used by the Exchange Server processes that are monitored by PATROL. By default, PATROL monitors the Exchange Server processes that are configured to start automatically upon startup.

This parameter is active only if the NT_PROCESS application class in the PATROL KM for Windows Operating System is loaded.

Recommendations

To improve memory use, try the following:

  • Increase the size of your pagefile or move the pagefile to a separate physical disk.
  • Move Exchange components to a different server.
  • Add RAM.
  • Restrict client mail usage.

Exchange Server is designed to use all of the available memory on the server. If other applications need more memory, Exchange Server starts releasing memory.
