Exchange Local Monitoring (MSEXCH_Server)


The Exchange application class (MSEXCH_Server) represents an Exchange Server. It monitors server-related parameters and acts as a container for all other application classes.

Note

The Exchange Local Monitoring monitor type in BMC ProactiveNet Performance Management is referred as the MSEXCH_Server application class in BMC PATROL.

PATROL Configuration Type

Displays the type of PATROL configuration used for Exchange 2000 servers:

  • Global: the PATROL configuration used by this server has been published via Active Directory to all nodes in the domain that are using PATROL for Exchange Servers
  • Global (with local overrides): the configuration used by this server has been modified locally and have overridden the settings obtained from Active Directory
  • Local: the PATROL configuration is used by the local server only

Node Name

The name of the computer running the Exchange Server

The following attributes are available for this monitor type:

By default, thresholds such as the Border rangeAlarm1 range, and Alarm2 range are disabled for all parameters.
