Activating parameters for Exchange Servers


To reduce the impact on your system resources and enhance performance, parameters that are not commonly needed are inactive by default. A list of these inactive parameters is provided in the online help. From the console menu bar, select Help > Help Topics > PATROL Knowledge Modules > PATROL for MS Exchange Servers > Parameters > Inactive by Default.

To activate any of these parameters, use a PATROL developer console and the following procedure:

To activate parameters by using the PATROL Console for Microsoft Windows

  1. In the application class's \Global\Parameters folder, find the parameter on the KM tree.
  2. Right-click the parameter, and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
  3. Select the Active check box.

To activate parameters by using the PATROL Console for UNIX

  1. From the menu bar, select Attributes > Application Classes.
  2. Select the application class, and select Attributes > Parameters.
  3. Select one or more parameters, and select Options > Activate.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
