Limiting the amount of data sent to the LOGMatchString parameter

By default, 63K is the maximum amount of data sent to the LOGMatchString text parameter. Manually adding the variable described in this topic allows you to limit that amount to less than 63K.

For information on how to add configuration variables to the Agent Configuration utility see Adding-configuration-variables-manually.

  1. Enter the following configuration variable manually:
     /PMG/CONFIG/LOGMatchStringLimit
  2. Enter any integer > 0 as value for this variable to indicate the character limit for the amount of data sent to the LOGMatchString parameter.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
