25.3.02
No Sudo access required to collect Linux KM hardware metadata
You do not need sudo access to collect the hwModel and hwVendor metadata in the PATROL for Linux knowledge module (KM). hwModel is the hardware model, and hwVendor is the hardware vendor metadata. This metadata enables you to identify the server type for integrations with BMC products.
Monitor CPU load with normalized load average metrics
The PATROL for Linux KM includes three normalized load-average metrics:
- Normalized Load Average (1 min)
- Normalized Load Average (5 min)
- Normalized Load Average (15 min)
These metrics calculate the Linux load average over 1-, 5-, and 15-minute intervals and normalize the values based on the number of logical CPUs on the host. With this enhancement, you can determine how much CPU capacity your system is using. It also helps you compare CPU load across systems with different CPU counts. For more information, see CPU (NUK_CPU).
25.3.01

25.3.00
Improve disk monitoring by using Persistent disk instances
Use the Persistent disk instances option to improve disk monitoring across server restarts. This capability enables consistency in monitoring disk metrics by assigning them a unique identifier. It prevents the metrics from being incorrectly reported during a system restart. For more information, see Configuring Disks.
