Configuring Disks
Field | Description |
---|---|
Disk Configuration | |
Use persistent disk instance | Select this option to enable disk monitoring by using a unique identifier instead of the disk name. The unique identifier handles disk monitoring across server restarts. To enable this option, check the Use persistent disk instance checkbox. Important: When you select the Use persistent disk instance option, the current disk instances and the existing data are deleted. The new instances are created with a persistent identifier. |
Disk Include/Exclude Operation | |
Exclude Disk | Enter the disk name or a regular expression to filter disks that you want to exclude from monitoring. To exclude multiple disks, enter a comma-separated list of regular expressions. For example, sd1.*,vdc2.* Important: If the rules are equally specific (if you exclude a disk, and include the same disk) then exclude takes precedence over include. |
Include Disk | Enter the disk name or a regular expression to filter disks that you want to include for monitoring. To include multiple disks, enter a comma-separated list of regular expressions. For example, sd1.*,vdc2.* By default all disks are included for monitoring. |
