Debugging Linux virtualization

You can enable and disable the debugging for KVMs (kernel-based virtual machines) from PATROL Console or PATROL Central Operator Console. The debug file will be created on the PATROL Agent Machine, and will be located at /tmp/NukXpcDebug_<xpc id>.log.

By default, debugging is disabled.

To enable and disable debugging

  1. Access the Linux Vitualization application menu.
  2. Choose KM Commands > Remote XPC Debug Administration.

    The NUKSERVER.XPC Admin dialog box will be displayed.

  3. Form the dialog box, you can select any of the following severity levels:
  • INFORM
  • WARNING
  • ERROR
  • No Logging
    The default option,  No Logging disables debugging.


 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
