Select Categories of Diagnostics dialog box


Use the Select Categories of Diagnostics dialog box to provide a list of basic information about PATROL such as

  • environment variables and values used by PATROL
  • machine name and class
  • console account name and connection mode
  • agent hostname and port numbers
  • agent configuration variables and values
  • PATROL Agent and Console versions
  • agent tuning variables and values

Items on this dialog box

%DUMP Options…

the application class instance of the parameter that is initiating the recovery action

Installation Diagnostics

gathers PATROL installation information such as additional diagnostics, setuid and setgid files in the installation, a list of symbolic links, and license details

Log Files…

gathers the contents of selected log files and writes their contents to a *.tar file specified by you

Output File for Diagnostics

writes the information to the file that you specify in this field. Provide an absolute path.
PATROL also writes some but not all of the same information to a task object, Capture UNIX Diagnostics, in the UNIX OS container.

Accept

applies your changes

Cancel

closes the dialog box and does not run the recovery action

opens the PATROL Knowledge Module for UNIX help file
