FILESYSTEM Exclusion dialog box


You can use this dialog box to specify which file systems in your environment should be excluded from monitoring.

The following table describes the options available on the dialog box.

Monitored Filesystems

This pane lists the file systems that are currently being monitored in your environment.

To exclude a file system from monitoring, highlight the file system name in this field, then click Apply.

Excluded Filesystems

This pane lists the file systems which are currently being excluded from monitoring in your environment.

To include a file system for monitoring, highlight the file system name in this field, then click Apply.

Ignore NFS Filesystems option button

Select this option button if you want to exclude network file systems (NFS) from monitoring.

Ignore CD-ROM Filesystems option button

Select this option button if you want to exclude CD-ROM file systems from monitoring.

Ignore proc Filesystems option button

Select this option button if you want to exclude proc file systems from monitoring.

/proc is a virtual file system that contains images of the processes that are currently running in your environment. /proc file systems are usually used for debugging purposes.

Ignore Custom List option button

Select this option button if you want to exclude other types of file systems from monitoring.

If you select this option, you must enter a list of file system types in the Custom Exclusion List (Filesystem Types): field.

Custom Exclusion List (Filesystem Types)

Type the list of file system types that you want to exclude from monitoring in this field. Separate each file system type with a space.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
