News Server (INET_News_Server)
The INET_News_Server application class monitors and manages NNTP-based news servers.
Prediscovery
Prediscovery quickly determines whether Internet servers can be monitored on a machine by checking the platform type. If the platform is Unix or Windows, the application is activated.
Discovery
Discovery watches for changes to configurations of monitored news servers. The configuration checks are performed during full discovery cycles or when the configuration has been updated.
