Maximum secondary log space used (MaxSecLogSpaceUsed)
This parameter indicates the maximum amount (in megabytes) of secondary log space being used. This parameter shows the current dependency on secondary logs.
This parameter will have a value of zero (0) if the database does not have any secondary log files or if log retention was enabled using the logretain or userexit configuration parameters.
Recommendation:
If this value is consistently high, you may need to perform more frequent commits within applications against the database, or you may need to adjust the following configuration parameters:
- logfilsiz
- logprimary
- logsecond
- logretain
