Register JDBC DB2 database dialog box
Use JDBC DB2 environment dialog box to configure the DB2 environment locally and remotely.

Fields | Description |
---|---|
Environment name | Enter a unique environment name for monitoring the DB2 databases. A container will be created with the environment name. This environment will hold all the DB2 databases. BMC recommends you to provide only alphanumeric characters in environment name. |
Remote Database connection details | |
DB Host | Enter the database hostname or an IP address. |
DB Port | Enter the database port number. Default port number is 50000. |
DB User | Enter the name of a user with permissions to run DB2 commands. The user should have at least SYSMON user with DATAACCESS privileges. |
DB Password | Enter a password to connect to the remote database. |
DB2 Name | Enter the name of the databases. BMC recommends you to provide only alphanumeric characters in database name. |
JAVA collector settings | |
JAVA_HOME | Enter the path to the J2EE folder where the jar files reside. For example: Unix\LINUX: /usr/java7_64/ |
Executing user | Enter the name of the user with permission to run the java process. If this field is left blank, then the Remote database connection details user and password will be used. |
Password | Enter a password of the executing user. |
OK | Click to apply the configuration. |
Close | Click to close the dialog box. |
