Creating reports in Hadoop environment
In BMC PATROL for Hadoop, you can create reports that enable you to access performance data of the Hadoop Environment application instances.
Creating the Hadoop Diagnostics report
- From the PATROL Console, access the Hadoop Environment application instances menu, depending on the level on which you want to access the report.
- Select the KM Commands > KM Administration > Hadoop Diagnostics Report menu command.
PATROL Console generates the JMX output for each node. The output will be saved in the xml file at <Patrol Home>/Patrol3/hadoop/report/diag/<<environment name>>_DiagnosticReport.xml.
Creating the health view report
- From the PATROL Console, access the NameNode application class menu.
- Select the KM Commands > Generate Health View menu command.
- The report is shown in the system output window.
This report provides information like the version, start time, cluster id number, block pool id, configured capacity of the NameNode.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
