Hadoop KM Menu commands
The PATROL for Hadoop includes menu commands that you can use from pop-up menus.
Hadoop menu
To access the menu command, right-click the Hadoop node > KM Commands menu command.

Register Hadoop Environment | Allows you to register an environment to monitor the Hadoop product. See Register Hadoop environment dialog box. |
Hadoop Environment menu
To access the menu command, right-click the Hadoop Environment node > KM Commands. The following menu commands are available from this node:
- Edit Hadoop Environment
- Unregister Hadoop environment
- KM Administration

Menu command | Description |

Edit Hadoop Environment | Allows you to modify a registered Hadoop environment. See Register Hadoop environment dialog box. |
Unregister Hadoop Environment | Allows you to delete a registered Hadoop environment. See Register Hadoop environment dialog box. |
KM Administration | Submenu that contains multiple KM commands related to KM Administration. |
KM Administration submenu
To access the menu command, right-click the Hadoop Environment node > KM Commands > KM Administration menu command. The following submenu commands are available from this menu command:
- Force discovery
- Restart The Java Collector
- Define JVM Arguments
- Hadoop Diagnostics Report
- Logging
Attribute details
Menu command | Description |
|---|---|
Force discovery | Forces discovery of the registered Hadoop environment. |
Restart The Java Collector | Restarts the Java collector of the registered Hadoop environment. |
Define JVM Arguments | Allows you to define JVM arguments. When the KM runs Java, the KM can provide defined arguments to it. |
Hadoop Diagnostics Report | Creates the diagnostic report of the registered Hadoop environment. The output will be saved in the xml file at <Patrol Home>/Patrol3/Hadoop/report/diag/<<environment name>>_DiagnosticReport.xml. |
Logging | Allows you to select menu commands to enable or disable logging. |
Logging submenu
To access the menu command, right-click the Hadoop node > KM Commands > KM Administration > Logging menu command.
Menu command | Description |

Enable | Enables the PSL and Java debug logging. |
Disable | Disables the PSL and Java debug logging. |
NameNode menu
To access the menu command, right-click the Hadoop node > KM Commands menu command.
