Monitor application and network load balancers
Monitor Google Cloud application load balancers and external and internal network load balancers in your GCP environment so that you can check performance, identify data gaps, and troubleshoot issues. Fine-tune the monitoring by including or excluding load balancers to monitor. This feature offers the following benefits:
- Centralized visibility: View all internal and external application and network load balancers at one place in the monitoring hierarchy.
- Performance insight: Identify performance issues earlier by using time‑series metrics, such as requests, latency, and error counts.
For more information, see Configuring Google Cloud Platform.
The following application classes are added to monitor the load balancers in the GCP environment:
- Load Balancing (GCP_GLB)
- HTTP(S) Load Balancer (GCP_GLB_HTTP_INST)
- L3 Internal Network Load Balancer (GCP_GLB_L3_INTERNAL_INST)
- L3 External Network Load Balancer (GCP_GLB_L3_EXTERNAL_INST)
- TCP/SSL Proxy Load Balancer (GCP_GLB_PROXY_INST)
