Testing the Recovery Action
After you assign the PSL recovery action, force the ArchFreeSpace parameter into alarm and verify that the recovery action script runs.
To Force ArchFreeSpace into ALARM using a PSL Command
- From the PATROL console, access the host KM menu commands as described in Accessing KM Commands and InfoBoxes.
- Choose the KM menu command PSL Command.
Enter the PSL command shown below and click Apply.

;This PSL command sets the value of ArchFreeSpace parameter of the test instance to 1. This action causes ArchFreeSpace to enter an ALARM state and issue an alert.
- Determine whether the ArchFreeSpace parameter enters an ALARM state and whether the recovery action is run.
