Importing Entuity server dynamic thresholds

You can import the dynamic parameter thresholds that you have already configured on the Entuity servers to the PATROL environment.

Warning

Note

BMC PATROL does not import default parameter thresholds that are defined but disabled.

To import Entuity dynamic thresholds

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click Entuity.
  2. Select KM Commands > PATROL KM Administration > Thresholds > Import Entuity Server Dynamic Thresholds.
     The Import Entuity Server Dynamic Thresholds dialog box is displayed.
  3. Enable Import.
  4. Click Ok.
     The dynamic parameter thresholds are implemented after the next collection cycle.

Note

Of the various Entuity thresholds, the following Entuity thresholds are imported into the PATROL parameters:

  • the value of High Latency is imported and used as the threshold in the Latency parameter
  • the value of CPU High Utilization is imported and used as the threshold in the CPUUtilization parameter

To revert to BMC PATROL parameter thresholds

  1. From the PATROL Console work area, right-click Entuity.
  2. Select KM Commands > PATROL KM Administration > Thresholds > Import Entuity Server Dynamic Thresholds.
     The Import Entuity Server Dynamic Thresholds dialog box is displayed.
  3. Disable Import.
  4. Click Ok.
  5. Restart the PATROL Agent.
     The PATROL thresholds are reverted after the next collection cycle.
