Managing the default port configuration

The PATROL for DB2 UDB EEE component uses a default port service to establish TCP/IP communications in the DB2 monitoring environment. You can manage the default port configurations through the Configure Default Ports menu.

  1. From the SETUP menu, select Configuration > Configure Default Ports.
  2. You can perform the following actions in the Configure Default Ports dialog box:
    • To add a default port service, highlight the DB2 instance and then enter the port service name and port numbers that you want to assign for the DB2 instance. Select the Add option, and then click OK.
    • To remove a default port service, highlight the DB2 instance, select the Remove option, and then click OK.

If a problem occurs

Verify that the port is not being used by another service or by any of the nodes in the DB2 nodes configuration for the instance.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
