Monitoring DB2 health with PATROL


After loading the PATROL for DB2 Universal Database Knowledge Module component (KM), you can use default parameter settings to monitor DB2 or you can customize settings to meet the demands of your environment. See Customizing-discovery-options for further details. 

Parameters are at the center of PATROL monitoring. Through the parameters, you can configure certain alarms to take corrective actions when PATROL detects critical situations. See Configuring and responding to alarms for more information.
