DB2EEE_SETUP menu


To access the DB2EEE_SETUP menu, right-click on the DB2EEE_SETUP icon. The following submenus and commands are available:

Menu command

Description

Shutdown Knowlege Module

shuts down the DB2 Universal Database KM allowing you to disable the KM monitoring activities in the PATROL Console while the Console is still active

Startup Knowledge Module

starts the PATROL DB2 Universal Database Enterprise-Extended Edition KM when it has been shut down or blacked out

Verify DB2 KM Installation

ensures that the PATROL DB2 Universal Database Enterprise-Extended Edition KM installation was successfully completed

Debug Switches

sets, changes, displays the debug switches for a given DB2 application class instance

Configuration submenu

Menu command

Description

Configure Default Accounts

configures a DB2 default account for one or more DB2 Database Manager (DBM) instances or remote databases

Configure DB2 UDB Install Path

configures DB2 installation path for one or more DB2 DBM instances.

Configure Default Ports

configures the TCP/IP ports that the PATROL KM uses to communicate with the DB2 node partitions

Configure KM Defaults submenu

Description

DB2 Instance Settings

allows you to adjust various DB2 instance default settings to control monitoring activities

DB2 Global Settings

allows you to adjust various DB2 global default settings to control monitoring and collection activities

Menu command

Description

Configure Application Discovery

configures the DB2 Universal Database application discovery settings for an instance

Configure Recovery Actions submenu

Menu command

Description

Set Default Actions

customizes the automated recovery actions that PATROL for DB2 Universal Database performs when certain parameters go into a warning or an alarm state

Set Send to Names

specifies the users who receive net send messages when one of the designated parameters goes into an alarm state

Test Configuration

tests the current automated recovery action settings

Configure KM Blackout Period submenu

Menu command

Description

Add Blackout Periods

establishes a blackout period (a temporary period of time during which the KM will not be collecting information on your DB2 DBM instances)

Delete Blackout Periods

deletes a blackout period

Configure Database Blackout submenu

Menu command

Description

Add Database Blackout

establishes a blackout period (a temporary period of time during which the KM will not be collecting information on your DB2 DBM instances)

Delete Database Blackout

deletes a blackout period

Menu command

Description

Configure Max Channel Wait

indicates the maximum amount of time the KM will wait for a request to be serviced by the PATROL Agent

Create Batch Template

creates a batch template for you to use to apply the same settings to multiple consoles
